Next week it will be six months since Bondgate Electrical Distribution took on an apprentice, Liam Walker who is completing a Level NVQ2 in Business administration. National Apprentice week is the perfect time to look back on his first 6 months here.
Apprenticeships offer a great way of strengthening the workforce and giving young people their first step on the career ladder. Liam was hired via Key Training and during his 6 months here he has become a vital part of the office team, assisting in the daily administration of the branch and helping to maintain the website and update the CRM system.
Liam took on the role and enjoys the challenges that he deals with on a daily basis. “I have really enjoyed my first 6 months at Bondgate, I always feel welcome and I am glad to be a valued member of the team here at Bondgate.”
When asked of the value that Liam has added to operations and the positive impact he has had company director Richard Stanley added ‘Liam has been a fantastic addition to the team and hiring an apprentice has been a great business choice. Liam does great work and has proved to me just how beneficial hiring an apprentice can be.
Liam’s Apprenticeship has proved invaluable and we hope to be keeping Liam onboard long after his apprenticeship finishes in September.
