The Ansell Lighting range including a selection of Rated iCage Fire-Rated Downlights are available from Bondage Electrical. They’re perfect for any bathroom or kitchen area. These intelligent fire rated downlights offer everything you need from a downlight, what’s more is they’re also uniquely designed with a ‘cool cage’ structure so you can choose the lamp that you want. The revolutionary ‘cool cage’ pen rated design allows the lamp, usually LEDs, inside to ventilate whilst still providing fire protection. This is opposed to traditional ‘fire can’ downlights which can cut off the air flow and prevent to lamp from ‘breathing’.
iCage downloads increase the life expectancy of your lamp as they improve air flow and reduce the risk of overheating and lamp failures. This is increasingly important when it comes to using LEDs which are more costly to replace than halogen. Overheating tends to be the number one cause of LED failure. By using the iCage, you are increasing the chance that the LED will last for as long as it is designed to, this will make sure that it achieves its full life expectancy of 25,000 to 40,000 hours.
